Highlights From Ft. Lauderdale International Boat Show

St. Maarten SCYE2004 Photo Album Antigua Charter Yacht Meeting Photo Album 2004 The mood was definitely upbeat on Thursday, October 28, as the 45th Annual Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show commenced with the largest opening day crowd in its history. The YV&C staff was on hand and spent most of their time at Bahia Mar and Las Olas, touring the show's superyachts. We're happy to report that the weather was sunny and beautiful, the brokers were optimistic, the crews were as gracious as ever, and the yachts were crowded with prospective clients for both sale and charter. Newport, Rhode Island 2005 International Yacht Charter Meeting

The 23rd Annual Newport Spring Charter Yacht Show took place this week at the Newport Shipyard, Newport, Rhode Island. This year, more than 30 charter yachts and more than 100 charter brokers, press, and industry professionals participated at this annual event. On Wednesday, Newport Charter Yacht Seminar presented speakers such as Brian Piers of Homeland Security and Customs, Robert Peck of MARSH Insurance, Rupert Conner of Luxury Yacht Group, and Kurt Bosshardt on Contract topics. Tom B. Rowe, managing director and Patty Martin, charter fleet manager of NYM Worldwide greeted the crew, captains and attending delegates of this year event. The Sacks Group Took Top Honors At St. Maarten Charter Yacht Exhibition

YV&C International Yacht Vacations & Charters Magazine reports: In the Moet & Chandon Concours des Chefs Competition at the St. Maarten Charter Yacht Exhibition held December 5 – 8, 2005 motoryachts HARMONY, 115’ Crescent and TOUCH, 120’ Custom both with The Sacks Group Yachting Professionals, took top honors, first and second respectively. The Sacks Group Helps a Client Take the Charter of a Lifetime

This winter, American entrepreneur Joe Hollingsworth, Jr.  finally realized his dream of taking family and friends on an extended Caribbean cruise aboard a luxury charter yacht, with help from The Sacks Group Yachting Professionals. The charter, which lasted for 29 days, spanned the Caribbean island chain from Grenada to St. Maarten. "I've had the idea for probably about twenty years, but the problem with the idea was it was so big and comprehensive," Hollingsworth said.  Then he met The Sacks Group President and Charter Specialist Jennifer M. Prestige Yacht Charters Announces Mother's Day Cruises
