Sacks Group Yachting Professionals Shine

Hosts 24th Annual Spring Charter Yacht Show

The Sacks Group Yachting Professionals again took top honors at the 24th Annual Spring Charter Yacht Show in Newport,  RI.  This is the largest Charter Show in the Northeast and took place in Newport, Rhode Island, June 20 – 23, 2006.

The Sacks Group Yachting Professionals had a total of 4 motor yachts on display:

BLIND FAITH, a 115’ Crescent, is loaded with toys and a fun, charter-savvy crew.  She sleeps 8 guests in 4 staterooms and she can be chartered this Summer for $43,000/week, plus expenses.

COCKTAILS is the stunning new 100’ Hargrave with 7 feet of headroom!  She sleeps 8 guests in 4 staterooms and charters at $35,000/week, plus expenses.

INDEPENDENCE 2, a 106’ Broward, is “quiet sophistication” with her casual outdoor living and elegant interior.  Sleeping 8 in 4 staterooms, she charters for $36,000/week, plus expenses.

WHALE’S WAY, a 74’ Hatteras with its classic nautical décor, is a popular yacht in New England for up to 6 guests.  Her charter rate is $16,500/week, plus expenses.
Congratulations go to Chef Jacqueline Antoinette of BLIND FAITH who won first place in the Distinctive Yachts Chowder competition.  Her Crab Chowder was unanimously agreed as “award-winning” by the Charter Broker judges for her use of Harvey’s Bristol Cream Sherry, which topped off every bowl as a delicious finishing touch.  Chef Antoinette exclaimed, “Many thanks to the good-humored judges who staggered out of BLIND FAITH’s galley.”

After the Chowder Competition, the annual “Yacht Hop” took place, giving the individual yacht crews a chance to show the Charter Brokers their creative side.  Three of the 4 yachts from The Sacks Group participated.  COCKTAILS made a great impression at her first Charter Show by choosing to go with a “cocktail” theme party with a Spanish twist.  The crew concocted an electric blue margarita which was complimented by a savory ceviche, marinated churrasco steaks, and chorizo.

Hermit crab races were the main event on the “Summer in New  England” theme aboard BLIND FAITH.  The aft deck was filled with decorations, including a “Gorton’s Fisherman” replica, yellow rain jacket, and all.

The night ended with everyone congregating on the fly bridge of INDEPENDENCE 2.  The crew’s signature “Stoli Dolies” were enjoyed while listening to the beat of salsa in the background.  Salsa dancing lessons were given on the top deck which proved to be a memorable ending to this year’s “Yacht Hop.”
