WASHINGTON, DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA -- (Marketwired) -- 08/06/13 -- Snipp Interactive Inc., an international provider of mobile marketing solutions listed on the TSX Venture Exchange (TSX VENTURE:SPN), today announced the launch of an augmented reality sweepstakes campaign for the National Bank of Kuwait (NBK).

Using the SnippAR app (http://ar.snipp.com), branded as SnippKhayal in the Middle East, customers can scan posters, which promote the sweepstakes, to experience a virtual 360 degrees tour of the luxury grand prize of NBK's Summer Campaign, an Azimut yacht.

The tour delivers an innovative, immersive experience to NBK customers and can be viewed on Apple and Android devices. Snipp designed and developed the app as well as provided strategic advice and support around content and creative assets.

This is the second augmented reality campaign that Snipp has conducted in the Middle East in the past month, with a few more set to launch shortly. SnippAR allows marketers to create seamless and immersive augmented reality experiences for their customers.

Brands can use SnippAR to deliver a host of branded mobile experiences to consumers including virtual visits, 360 degrees product tours, store/location finders, interactive maps, product catalog activations and commerce, virtual gaming experiences and more.

Mazin Al Nahedh, General Manager, Consumer Banking Group at National Bank of Kuwait, said, "Every year, NBK rewards its customers with valuable and unrivaled prizes. This summer, all NBK cardholders have the opportunity to win the remarkably elegant Azimut Yacht. With Snipp's Augmented Reality, our customers can now experience a 360 degrees interactive tour of the yacht. We are excited to introduce this new and innovative technology, as our strength lies in continuously astonishing our customers, whether they are nautical enthusiasts or otherwise."

Atul Sabharwal, Snipp CEO & Co-Founder, said, "Augmented reality creates the most interactive and engaging link between the physical and digital world. The National Bank of Kuwait's AR experience is also deeply immersive - you actually feel like you are inside of the boat. We are thrilled that National Bank of Kuwait chose SnippAR to promote their sweepstakes and look forward to growing our relationship with the bank over the coming months."

Aya Kabbara, Managing Director of Snipp Middle East, said, "NBK has used Snipp's AR technology and expertise to deliver an impressive interactive experience for its customers. This campaign is a testament to the power of mobile augmented reality technology."
