Agiliance®, Inc., the leading independent provider of Integrated Risk Management solutions for Governance and Security programs, today announced that Government Security News (GSN) has selected Agiliance as a finalist in three categories for the 2013 GSN Homeland Security Awards. Agiliance RiskVision™ was shortlisted for the Best Compliance / Vulnerability Assessment, Best Continuous Monitoring, and Best Big Data Analytic Solution categories.

“We are honored that Agiliance RiskVision was selected as a finalist in all three of the categories we entered,” said Torsten George, vice president of worldwide marketing and products at Agiliance. “This is a testament to the breadth and depth of our IT security and risk management system, and its ability to provide government agencies with the transparency and visibility into risks they need to address mounting cyber threats and compliance challenges.”

Agiliance is used by civilian, defense, and intelligence agencies to perform continuous monitoring and report on their organization’s risk and security posture in near real time. The company’s Agiliance RiskVision software gathers data feeds from otherwise silo-based security and IT tools such as SIEMs, configuration management databases, vulnerability scanners, threat data feeds and advisory services, database security management, etc. It then aggregates, normalizes, and correlates the information with business criticality. In addition, Agiliance RiskVision automates governance processes to provide insight into an agency’s compliance posture. The final result is a risk-based assessment of the organization’s infrastructure, providing prioritization of remediation actions based on business criticality.

Finalists in each of the more than three dozen categories that span information security, physical security, and services were selected by a panel of objective judges. “There was a strong turnout as usual in the IT security group, with the most hotly contested categories turning out to be ‘Best Compliance / Vulnerability Assessment Solutions’, ‘Best Endpoint Security Solution’, ‘Best Privileged Access Management Solution’, ‘Best Continuous Monitoring Solution’, and ‘Best Security Event / Incident Management’ (SIEM),” said Adrian Courtenay, managing partner of Government Security News.

Winners will be announced at a gala dinner hosted by GSN aboard the Aqua Azul motor yacht in New York Harbor on Thursday, December 5, 2013.
