Abila, providers of software solutions dedicated to serving dynamic nonprofit organizations, membership associations, higher education institutions, government agencies and membership associations, recently welcomed more than 700 IT, fundraising, membership and donor relations professionals to the 10th annual Avectra Users and Developers Conference (AUDC 2014). Held at Disney's Yacht & Beach Club Resort convention center in Orlando from March 2-4, AUDC14 provided a forum for attendees spanning the association and nonprofit space to share insights, experiences and best practices relating to their particular organization’s goals. Abila CEO Krista Endsley and Alzheimer’s advocate and mountaineer Alan Arnette presented the keynote speeches.
“This is a transformative time on so many levels. Not only is our industry grappling with an increasingly complex array of tools needed to achieve goals and metrics, but we as a company have also emerged as a completely new entity,” said Krista Endsley, CEO, Abila. “In many ways, AUDC served as our coming out party and the first major opportunity for partners and employees alike to gather under our new brand.”
Endsley’s keynote welcomed attendees and focused on how the transition from Sage Nonprofit Solutions, as well as the 2013 acquisition and merger with Avectra, created the company that is now Abila. As an experienced and thought-leading mountaineer, Arnette’s keynote showcased the essence of motivation through pictures, videos and stories.
One of the goals of AUDC was to demonstrate the ongoing commitment of Abila to deliver maximum benefit through its comprehensive suite of products. Another core focus was to showcase the role of Avectra’s Social CRM suite in promoting forward thinking and best practices in the evolving usage of technology to achieve organization objectives.
AUDC14 offered more than 60 different sessions, including 23 educational sessions featuring CAE credit. In addition to discussing the latest updates and roadmap for its product suites, Abila offered breakout sessions across seven different focus areas, including association best practices, fundraising/social success and partnering for success. A series of solution-specific sessions focused on extending the value of netFORUM Enterprise, with netFORUM Enterprise training and netFORUM Pro training.
